Helping Organizations Manage Violence As It Enters The Workplace

This one-day conference is designed to help workplace leaders build the organizational capacity to address domestic violence as it enters the workplace and the confidence when dealing with situations that involve violence risk.
Participants will:

review the dynamics of domestic violence and implications for the workplace

learn about the principles underlying violence threat assessment and management and best practices supported by researchers and practitioners around the world

explore tools and resources available to them.

Dr. Peter Jaffe, Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Western Ontario and the Academic Director of the Centre for Research and Education on Violence Against Women and Children

Dr. Stephen Hart, Founding Director of ProActive Resolutions Inc. where he heads the Threat Assessment Stream

Barb MacQuarrie, Community Director of the Centre for Research and Education on Violence Against Women and Children

Catherine Burr, workplace conflict and investigation specialist with 35 years of experience in the investigation and remedy of workplace harassment and discriminaton and over 10 years of experience in dealing with bullying and workplace violence
